What
is a Virtual Tour?
A virtual tour is a series of images that are stitched together
to provide an environment for the viewer to have up to 360°
of movement. Virtual tours let the viewer immerse themselves
into the environment.
What
is the process?
The
process starts by talking to us in order to establish your
exact requirement. From this we will be able to provide you
with an accurate quotation.
If you accept the order you will need to send a purchase order.
We will then arrange a suitable time to carry out the photography.
It is important that the area is ready to shoot before we
arrive. Photography takes approximately 20 minutes per room.
The quality and effectiveness of outdoor shots depend on the
weather conditions. If it's raining on the day of the shoot
an alternative "fine" day will need to be arranged.
(This may incur additional costs).
Once all the shots have been taken, we will edit the images
and stitch together to create the tours.
When complete, the images will be uploaded to a test site
for your approval.
On your approval and receipt of final payment the tours will
be despatched by CDrom and email.
How
much do they cost?
The cost of a virtual tour depends on type of tour you require,
quantity of tours and your location. A single tour starts
at around £150. Multi tour jobs can work out as low
as £40 per tour.
To get an accurate quotation please contact us via the contact
page.
How do I put them into our website?
Your virtual tours will be delivered to you on CDrom or email.
We will provide instructions for you or your web designer
on how to install the tours into your current site. Additionally
we can provide you with tours that will run directly from
CDrom.
If required, imagewhiz can host the virtual tour on our servers
for an annual fee.
Do I need special software to
view the tours?
High quality virtual tours require software plug-ins to view.
Most computers will already have these plug-ins installed.
If not installed they are free and easy to download from the
Internet.
At Imagewhiz we use three file formats either Java, QuickTime
or Flash, depending on your requirements we will advise on
which is most suitable for your application. |
